Exeter Travel - Ski - Austria - Mayrhofen
Fly to Mayrhofen from Exeter for some of the most varied skiing you will ever get from one resort. |
Mayrhofen lies in the mountainous Ziller Valley where both skiers, non-skiers, as well as those seeking an excellent night life are well catered for. With a new cable car to the Ahorn area and the fast gondola up to the Penken, the ski region is connected up to the Finkenberg, Rastkogel and Eggalm ski areas, belonging to the extensive ‘Zillertal 3000’. Wintersports enthusiasts can enjoy an incredible 157km of pistes plus 86km on the nearby Hintertux glacier included on the whole area lift pass and connected with a free bus. |
|
For the more adventurous skier there are 22km of black runs including the steepest run in Austria, the infamous Hara Kiri with a 78% gradient. Nightlife is great with bars, pubs and clubs ranging from ‘Scotland Yard’ to the ‘Sport Arena’ club at the Strass.
With a such varied array of pistes there is something for every ability of skier. A non-ski kindergarten is available in the resort for the under sevens. |
