Fly from Exeter to Saalbach & Hinterglemm, good skiing for families and groups.
The attractive twin villages of Saalbach and Hinterglemm boast a vast interconnecting ski circus within the picturesque Glemm valley - an intermediate skier’s dream! The mountains are dotted with picturesque huts and the ski area has an excellent snow record. Nursery slopes are right in the centre of both villages and the area is perfect for budding snowboarders with two parks with half pipes. Confident intermediates can do an entire circuit, and will enjoy the long run down to the village of Leogang.
Saalbach is the larger more cosmopolitan of the two with a charming centre with stylish shops and cafés. Both resorts enjoy traditional Austrian après ski, starting up on the slopes at bars such as the "Hinterhagalm" in Saalbach and the "Goastall" in Hinterglemm, and continuing in the village ice-bars.
Both Saalbach & Hinterglemm offer ski kindergartens for 3 - 4 year olds.
