This pretty lakeside town becomes an exciting and lively skiers’ resort in winter. Ideal for those seeking a characteristic little town, it has a traffic-free old medieval pedestrian centre with excellent shopping and plentiful evening entertainment in an array of cafés, wine bars and restaurants. The 'Europa Sport' region has an exciting and varied ski area, particularly for the red-runner. Creche facilities are available as is a ski kindergarten for the over 3s.
Access to the main Zeller gondola is close to Zell’s centre and gives easy access to the ski circuit whilst the convenient nursery slopes for beginners at the Sonnenalm lifts, are easily reached by a regular ski bus from the centre of Zell.As well as its own excellent skiing, the resort is linked to nearby Kaprun by a free ski bus where skiing up to 3000m is available on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier.
