Situated on an open plateau in the wide Brixen valley, about 15km from Kitzbühel this small, pretty Tyrolean village is untouched by building development which adds to its charm. Westendorf’s nursery slopes are ideally placed directly in the village centre, and the main ski area, perfect for those who like open blue and red runs, is reached by a 6-seater gondola and ascends the Alpenrose in two stages. Ski kindergarten from 3 years and up with other childcare available in the resort.
A new gondola for 2008/9 will link Westendorf to Brixen and the nearby 250km of slopes of the ‘Ski Welt’ circuit with a huge variety of skiing for intermediates and advanced skiers.Guests return annually because of its friendly, informal atmosphere and to enjoy plenty of après-ski fun. In the evenings, the resort comes alive at many of the traditional and modern bars and inns.
